Why is the Pro Bowl before the Superbowl?

I know that it's been moved, but does anyone know why it was moved? The chosen palyers from the Conference Champions won't be playing, will they? It won't be the same with no Saints or Colt's playing. Is this the NFL's way of killing interest in it? I don't get this at all!
