Will Restoring my PC to factory settings eliminate viruses/hidden trojans? read all of question?

Here is the most straightforward answer I can give you... NO. Restoring a computer to factory settings will not get rid of a virus. I ume you are talking about PC, not Mac. Viruses are know to spread to other files, hence the name virus. This acts like the flu. One person has the flu, coughs on somebody, and then that person gets the flu and it continually spreads. In this case, the person is the file that the virus has first infected. The file will then "cough" on other files and they will get the virus as well. The virus copies onto files that your PC NEEDS to run. Restoring is not going to help. I suggest downloading avast! Anti-virus software.
